Until this moment since I started learning about designing building loudspeaker in the year of 1997, still was not able to get books related to it in the Indonesian language, even there are exist it still very simple and less technical that it's almost pointless to use in studying the case. I don’t know why this is so, because it is said many experts and retainer of the audio in this country who are as the champion in world of martial art, and also quite famous in audio magazines, including my ex students, but such conditions is possible only by 2 chance alone, the first is true that many pundits have pretty big names but their knowledge is still no bigger than his name and is unable to share in others, and the second, really an expert but is not willing to share to others because it concerns the rice pot. It is said that there is an audio school institution in particular car audio in the capital held by some called the big experts, but no longer echo sounding lately, it seems that the trees planted less good fruit and may also have been nearly dead, wallahualam.
Aware of such developments, which were also no changes over the past decade, I was concerned, and intends to share to all of you the knowledge which is seems as hidden "treasure", so the audio world in general will likely be more lively because it allows the players to the new emergence, more progressive and formed more healthy competition. The fact is, now we have the audio world was dominated by Chinese goods which is assumed to be the lack of good quality and the price is also much cheaper, but I want to reiterate that while using ex cheap Chinese goods may be possible to build the best system which is not inferior to systems that using expensive equipments along who designed it had knowledge that can be accounted for, because of the expensive branded devices will not even produce a good output when designed carelessly without knowledge, I already prove it during my career along the audio world the past 12 years, even the speaker 4 ", 5", 6 "etc. can still be build as a good car subwoofer that to my knowledge, which even in the main capital itself was no one brave enough and confident to apply it in the car, who are almost always dominated by large speakers size 10" and 12 ". That's just a part of existing problems , because in the affairs of SQ even blindfolded, due to this one required of a capable crossover should be able to establish a virtual space on the vehicle, it can be seen from the developments in car audio and audio contests in recent years by the number of implemented 3 ways system, and the used of large tweeter, but yet didn’t understand the design concept of the system so that was very sadly in result when compared to the price being paid, whereas 3 way system are no better than 2 way system. Until now I never found anyone willing to teach others about crossover and how to make it right, but of course the crossover problem also can not be separated from the box design, because boxes are generally designed to produce bass below 200Hz which is best with precise calculations that can predict the box size and the response to be generated before you saw anything, while the crossover is used to control exposure to noise above 100 Hz on each drivers in the system, to avoid distortion because the drivers work beyond the limits of his abilities, and also to set the horizontal and vertical angle radiance, as well as many other additional functions for manipulate the relevant drivers. Yes it is not easy to learn so, but with willpower, love, and materials and the right teacher anyone can learn well, just a matter of time for some people can quickly master and for some other can be longer, but everyone also bound to be, doesn’t need a diploma degree in engineering for it, even highschool also will not matter, as long as it is not illiterate.
Weigh the things that I have described above, I intend to share a book that I have compiled since the year of 2003 which I summarized from several sources and books from abroad, and also from practical experience over the years, which also would be helpful if for those of you who doesn’t speak a foreign language but want to learn the audio.
